Every Picture Tells a Story

From this comment I'm sorta guessing that plans are not yet 100% set in stone, "A press conference is being held in the next few days to confirm the venue and ticket arrangements ..." The more battle-worn and cynical amongst us can just feel the T.I.T. (This is Tenerife) syndrome kicking in here any time now. Though we are, of course (as I'm sure that's what they want), intrigued by "... a spokesman from the company says further superstar concerts are in the pipeline for Adeje."

Another article lamenting the fact that the crunch has gotten at Tenerife's 2009 Carnaval - which doesn't start until February 8th - and will have "the most austere budget in its history", as spending on the event has been cut in half. Personally, I don't think the belt tightening will stop anyone from having fun, because Carnaval is very definitely a participation sport and very much what you make it.
