Armstrong and Contador Training Together For First Time

Seven-time Tour de France champion Armstrong, who announced his comeback to cycling after a three-year hiatus earlier this year, and Contador, who has won all three of the sport’s major Tours, will take part in the November 30 -December 8 session on the island of Tenerife.

Canarian pensioners get 140.50 euros less than the national average of 820.32 euros. (The 679.82 euros (approx £571) they do get, of course, is not that bad compared to the basic pension of £90 a week (£390 a month) that many UK pensioners have to manage on.)

Two 18th Century altarpieces at the church of Nuestra Sra. Peña de Francia in Puerto de la Cruz have been restored at a cost of over 30,000 euros. It's a very pretty church, so go see it and these artworks while they're at their best.

"Benidorm is to clamp down on unruly British tourists in an attempt to clean up the popular Costa Blanca resort. Beaches will be off-bounds between midnight and 7am in a bid to stop drunken couples having sex in the sand after leaving the late night bars and discos." Expect Tenerife to follow suit one day.
