Country pursuits in Tenerife: Día de la Trilla
Towards the end of next month the fiestas in the village of of El Palmar 
will be held, which will culminate in the Día de la Trilla (Threshing Day); part work, part exhibition that hopes to keep these old traditions alive.
In this video, we see how the wheat is harvested and the threshing done from a similar day, held in the nearby village of El Tanque in Tenerife. Worth seeking out because whole day out is natural, fun and free, including lunch.
