CD Tenerife Home Games 2008 - 2009
For your sporting pleasure, here's a list of CD Tenerife's home games (plus the derby match in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), for the 2008 - 2009 season. I'm only including home games here, because, I figure that if you come to this site, you're looking for something to do in Tenerife.
Yes, I know most of you are only just starting your summer holidays, but believe it or not, the football season begins again in Tenerife at the end of this month.
At the end of this week there are two pre-season friendlies on the island; on Friday, August 8th, CD Tenerife play a local rival in the south of Tenerife, CD Marino, at the Antonio Dominguez Stadium between Los Crisitanos and Playa de Las Americas. On Saturday, August 9th, they take on Athletic de Bilbao at the Estadio Los Cuartos, in La Orotava in the "Trofeo Teide" (Teide Trophy). CD Tenerife are the current holders of the Trofeo Teide.
A couple of away games and a presentation match at their home ground, the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López 
(where, this year, they'll be playing on brand new grass), follow and the team are certain to make their annual pilgrimage to the Virgen de Candelaria, before the season commences:

This Monday, August 4th, the campaign of "itinerant" season ticket sales moves to the Centro Comercial Carrefour until August 16th. The next stops are the Centro Comercial Meridiano in Santa Cruz (18th to 30th, August) and Centro Comercial Las Chafiras in San Miguel (1st to 13th September).

The local CD Tenerife international supporters club, for expats and visitors, is the Armada Sur (website), who can also educate you on all the niceties of Songs, Insults and Football Vocabulary that you'll need when attending a match in Tenerife.
