Tenerife takes no time off

Easter festivities have not even started and Carnival has just passed, but the people of the biggest of the Canary Islands are getting ready for the next party. Tenerife has already started warming up for this year's Fiestas de Mayo. In 1999 this event won the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of alfresco diners. The day after the dinner Los Realejos, a municipality where there is a party every day of the year, will set off some of the most impressive fireworks in Europe.
