Tax on flights to Tenerife?
At least, that's how this Guardian's article describes UK Tory party shadow chancellor, George Osborne's, proposals to impose a green tax on flights. The BBC report that he's said "the target was not the annual family holiday", but I suppose, such a proposal, if the Tories were to get in again and put this into effect, would affect residents in the islands who "commute" back and forth to the UK more frequently.
The Telegraph ask, "Would air travel taxes stop you from flying?"
