Public Health services in the Canary Islands have confirmed five cases of Hepatitis C amongst patients of the Dialysis Unit of the La Colina clinic in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The source of the infection (caused by direct contact with the blood of someone who carries this virus, whether inside or outside the clinic) has not yet been identified.
