Canary Islands Photo Contest
It's no surprise that this photo - taken at Tenerife North's - Los Rodeos airport - is highly popular. Cloud, sun and "bird" combine to create a probably, unrepeatable effect.
What you might like to know is that there is currently, a Canary Islands Photo Contest, being held jointly by Canary Islands Spotting - a group of aviation enthusiasts in the Canary Islands - and JetPhotos.net.
The contest is not open to their members, nor to residents of the Canary Islands, but, if you've been to the islands on holiday in the last couple of years or will before 30 May 2007 at 11:59 EST, then your Aviation Photo shots may be eligible.
And there's a 1000 grand prize for the winner.

Yes, plane spotting is very popular here in the Canary Islands. Maybe it's because we haven't got any trains here! :) I also noticed that Canary Islands Spotting have, what looks to be a relatively new website and, despite most of the photographers names being Spanish, most of the information presented there is in English, including a Spotting Guide to Los Rodeos; how to get there, where to park, etc.
