Five Star Hotel for Buenavista Golf
Something else I learned from the lengthy interview with Buenavista's mayor, Aurelio Abreu, that was televised on TV Channel 8 a couple of nights ago is that approximately 15 days earlier, the council had approved a licence to the public company that manages Buenavista Golf - opened in 2003 and known as Seve Ballesteros' golf course in Tenerife - for the building of a five star hotel in the vicinity of the old Finca de los Fuentes - on which land the course is built.
Apparently, the hotel will have around 240 beds and will employ 100 people, all of whom are to be selected from the local area. They didn't say when this was likely to be started or finished, but it will be an important addition for the area.
