I couldn't agree more that
this small village in the northern part of the island, is "waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy more interesting that the tourist-packed hotel-beaches south". Tagged as Anaga, I'm guessing this is Taganana or thereabouts, which is in the mountainous area in the north east of Tenerife, above Santa Cruz. Like the remote areas here in the north west, these mountains hide lots of picturesque villages like this one that are well worth visiting, not just for their aesthetic beauty, but also for the peace and tranquility that descends upon you when you go there. It is also way cheaper than therapy as a means to combat stress! :)
