International operation captures 2.5 tons of cocaine
A joint operation of the Brazilian Federal Police with the police forces of Spain, England, and Italy ended in the seizure, on July 21st, of a Brazilian flag fishing boat transporting 2.5 tons of cocaine, estimated to be worth 136 million pounds. Seven Brazilian members of the ship's crew were arrested in international waters near the Canary Islands.
